A contest entry for Dragonball OC Club with the theme, first love.
Not what you might expect, it is about a 'mothers' love. But not in your normal way. As someone who has raised an animal from near new born I don't think I have ever known a love stronger, so much like a parents, but so different all the same. So here is my characters first love, her adopted dragon son.

So here is my characters first love, her adopted dragon son.
I have really been wanting to work on my own dragonball fan comic, playing with characters and getting ideas for a while. This gives a bit of an idea as to the style I would do it in, probably with coloured feature pages too, but due to the attempts I made and failed before with my markers I decided that inked was the way to go (looks pretty affective too).
The comic, 'worlds collide' is built around a girl, Maria (as seen in the comic) who is transported from our world to the dragon ball Z world. Renaming herself Lychee she is stuck in an eternal state of confusion; she doesnt know if the old world is a dream or not. And if it is a dream, how does she know stuff about the dragonball world making her almost a physic... its hard to explain.
As a dragonball fan I put a lot of myself into this, and with the love of dragons and dinosaurs I have I can only imagine how awesome it would be to live in a world where they exist. So when Lychee finds an abandoned baby dino/dragon she decides to adopt it as her own and care for it, no mater the cost. It takes her a long time and a lot of dedication to her child but years later she finally gets to set her scaled child free.
